Αφορμη μια επιθυμια ενος εργατη στη βιομηχανια για περισσοτερες κυκλοφοριες παιχνιδιων "ΑΑ" απο μεγαλα στουντιο αναπτυξης, καθως πιστευει οτι μια ενδυναμωση εταιρειων τυπου καθαρου Development εναντι Publishing, θα προσφερει περισσοτερες ευκαιριες για ποικιλια παιχνιδιων, πειραματισμους και υψηλο ηθικο εργασιας.
Ο Josh Sawyer συμφωνει, υπερθεματιζει και επιχειρηματολογει γιατι αυτο το αποτελεσμα βγαινει οχι μονο απο "ΑΑ" αλλα και απο ακομη λιγοτερου budget ¨Α¨ παιχνιδια:
- Obviously biased opinion but I'd also say that even "A" games can accomplish this.
- Execs are often not really concerned about devs' opinions on this stuff, but there's also a upside for the bottom line, which is staff retention.
- As the industry slowly moves away from crunch culture, execs are finding that you can also hemorrhage staff from *burnout*, which can be caused by many factors other than crunch itself.
- On long projects with large headcounts, especially ones fraught with staffing and scheduling issues, high turnover is not uncommon.
- This turnover can occur at all levels, resulting in the loss of a lot of institutional knowledge.
- In some cases, devs leave the industry entirely.
- Many devs will slog to a release and then either immediately leave or get laid off because the execs need 1/3 the staff to go into pre-production on the next game.
- The loss of institutional knowledge is devastating at the team level, where execs often don't perceive the effects
- Obviously this whole cursèd earth runs on money and game dev is no different, but if a company has the funds to bridge the gap between projects, using an A or AA game as a way for (hopefully not completely) burned out devs to refresh and recharge can be a good thing
- You may think that small projects can't help the larger ones, but work on both Grounded (AA) and Pentiment (A) have directly contributed to how we think about current and future projects.

α) υπηρεσιες οπως το gaming στο gamepass
β) υπερεπιτυχημενες προσπαθειες ανεξαρτητων στουντιο που βγηκαν απο το scope του indie και καναν μεγαλο ονομα (εσενα κοιταω Larian)
